Overview

Our client, a leading construction company located in Wexford Town, is seeking to add an Accountant to their team. It is anticipated that this role would involve circa 20 hours a week.

Your new role:

  • Accounts Receivable – issuing invoices, statements and dealing with all customer queries
  • Accounts Payable – reconciling supplier balances and paying suppliers as per agreed terms
  • Bank Reconciliations – entering payments and receipts and ensuring banks reconciliations are up to date
  • Wages – preparing wages for staff and submitting all relevant returns via ROS
  • Job Costing – monitoring and entering all data relating to Jobs to ensure accurate reporting is available to directors
  • Monthly Accounts – preparing and entering all journals relating to accruals, prepayments and wages
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and preparing depreciation journals
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Liaising with external auditor and dealing with any queries as they arise

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant with 2-3 years’ experience
  • Construction experience is desirable
  • System/ERP experience – Microsoft Dynamics experience would be a distinct advantage
